My Dad, the Actor

The theater has been a part of my family for many years. My first experience with it came in 7th grade when I played the part of an Oompa Loompa while my dad was Willy Wonka. You can laugh but while I was on stage I got a splinter in my foot the size of your arm and I didn't whince; I simply continued on as though nothing was wrong. As soon as I got off stage I may have cried like a baby but the show went on! We Oopmas may be short, but we are a stout-hearty folk.
Most recently, my dad had the lead role in "On Golden Pond" in a community theater and Dacian, mom, my brother, and I went to see him. He did a great job and was quite hilarious. The following are pictures from the production.

Here's dad in full make up. Ironically, this is also an exact representation of what I will look like in the future.

Here's mom and me in the waiting room. It's taken me 32 years to wear a polo. See what being a teacher has done!
Take a bow, dad, you did great!
