A Shower of Love for the Baby!!

We had a family shower on Saturday October 13th. It was a busy day in Lexington with Midnight Madness, Keeneland, a BIG UK football game agains LSU AND a shower for little Alex. Many of our closest friends and family members came into town to shower us with love.

Here I am rubbing my 32 week pregnant belly. I can't believe I'm going to get even bigger before this is all over! Alex, you are growing so fast. Here are both of Alex's grandmothers. I'm not sure which one had more fun shopping for their grandson - Granny Ison or Grandma Keaton??
Here are the women on the Keaton/Fouse side of the family. They came down for a sister trip to Lexington. Grandma Keaton, Great Aunt Kay & Great Aunt Margie.
Look at that stack of presents, Alex! You must really be loved and you're not even here yet. Duane and I are so greatful for all the wonderful presents. THANKS!!Here is a clothes line with a bunch of the adorable outfits Alex received. He's going to be so handsome.
We played a game where people had to guess the diameter of my belly. Angela came the closest with just an inch to spare.

Anna Finley made Alex's cakes. They were adorable. 20 plus individual cakes rolled in blue fondant and decorated to match his nursery. We had some left over. We are freezing them until his 1 year old birthday. She's for hire if you need a cake in Bowling Green, Ky.

Here are our shower hostesses! Sarah Rascoe & Melissa Blankenship, two of my dearest friends, came up from Bowling Green to do the shower for me. Sarah was my first roomie in college 11 years ago! wow, has it been that long?? Melissa and I met through a mutal friend about 4 years ago and have been best buds ever since. They were so gracious to volunteer to take care of my shower. However, I think they really just wanted a chance to rub my belly! Thanks gals! I love ya.

We played a game where the guests had to guess what type of poopy diaper they had! Sarah melted candy bars in 5 diapers and they had to look and smell them to guess what kind they were. It was kind of gross, but everyone was a good sport about it.

Mom Ison got me a diaper bag. Alex and I are going to be stylin'!!

Darian hates to have her picture taken! Look sis, we got you anyway!! This is my big sister with my eldest niece, Karina.

These are our good friends Zack & Angela. We were honored to have them come all the way in from Maryland for our shower. We just don't get to see you two enough. We will have to plan a trip with Alex as soon as we can so you can meet him! And maybe teach him some of that kung-fu fighting or how to master the Mr. Roboto dance???
