The whirlwind is now over, on with the next one. This is the first moment that I have had in the past 24 hours in which I felt like I could take a breath. So, in between Star Trek episodes, I am updating the blog for those who want to see. Also, as it is clear we have no idea what we are doing, any good advice would be welcome! :-)

Did you guys ever get a boppy? I see you using a pillow in that picture. Let me know... I will get one for you guys if you don't. It is the number one new baby essential, in my opinion!
Other than that, my only advice is for Dacian to sleep whenever Alex does. It's easier said than done, I know... especially when there are a million things you want/need to do during those quiet moments. But you really need that time to rest and recover from giving birth. Oh, and exhausting as these next few days will be, make sure you enjoy them. They grow up way too fast!
Thanks for the new pictures. Noah got really excited when he saw his new buddy, Alex! :) ~Sarah
That's funny, Caleb got excited when he saw Alex as well. He started trying to dive at the screen! :)
I agree with Sarah-take it easy and rest, rest, rest!!! THe laundry can wait, the dishes can wait, and the dusting can wait. If you need someone to do that, let me know and I'll try to get over there. :)
Thanks for the new pictures, he's a cutie pie! Love and squeeze on him, cherish these moments, and takes LOTS of pictures!

We are so glad Alex is doing well and is home now. We have been praying for you guys. I'm sure those first few days were very tough! WE hope you are getting some sleep and enjoying your cute new baby! Hold him tight, he will be running around before you know it!!! Let us know if you need anything!
I've been watching, waiting, and praying. I'm glad Alex arrived early. So did Abby, and she's been ahead of schedule ever since. I'm so thrilled that everyone is home and that for the mostpart, everyone is healthy. My only advice is to keep nursing as long as you can.
Love you, Mama Bear
When our little Brandon was born, I felt just as overwhelmed and crazy as you are describing. Somewhere along the line, someone said, the first two weeks are the hardest or something like that. All I remember is sitting in the hospital bed saying to my husband -- I would like to see how we are doing two weeks from now.... Well, let me tell you, that has been a little more than 2 1/2 YEARS ago!! You will survive! In a few months from now (I know, sounds like an eternity right now) but you will notice yourself putting on a diaper and getting it right the first time and holding the baby while talking on the phone and cooking dinner..... You will even find yourself giving others advice! Don't sweat the small stuff.... sound familiar, Dacian?? Housework will always be there. It won't be a mess forever! Enjoy your precious miracle, even though sleep deprived!
