Thanks to Mike Brady for giving Alex the extra motivation to get moving! He's been mobile for about 4 weeks or so. Now he's into everything. His favorite thing is mommy and daddy's magazine basket. We are working on that!
Currently his favorite game is to crawl about 5 feet away from you, turn around to look at you. Smile, laugh and then crawl off like he wants you to chase him. He'll do this around and around the house. It's quite funny.

Better get out those cool gates you bought! Just make sure you put the magazine basket on the outside of the gate. :)

yeah! I know. I have the gate set up in the kitchen with his toys. He enjoys playing there while I get things done. It seems to be a win/win for us both!
Let the good times begin.... it only gets better from here. Next come of few steps, then a few more.... then they learn they can make their legs go really, really fast.... then they learn they can JUMP.... and then that's all they do.... JUMP! Hee! Hee! I declared one of my cabinets "Brandon's" and had just some baby friendly plastic things in there -- things he couldn't hurt and that couldn't hurt him. Then whenever he was heading toward "my" cabinets, I would just redirect him toward his own. He would just sit surrounded by plastic bowls and think he was big stuff. It was something that helped us -- thought I would share!
