Keaton Creations
So, a quiet dream I have is to one day start a website or be in an art show or something wherein I will have the motivation and the time to create a bunch of works that could possibly sell. It's tough to follow through with dreams like that when I have a full time job, an 18 month old, and live in a three bedroom house with no real room for a studio. The studio thing is not a big issue unless I want to paint, but more and more I've been making things on the computer with Corel Painter and Photoshop. So, with a nod to that dream to let it know I haven't forgotten it, here is a few pictures of some things I've done over the years. I hope you enjoy.
Here is a painting of my high school's tennis courts that were built a few years after I graduated. My dad played a big role in their creation.
I've painted a lot of self portraits over the years. In one of my first painting classes at UK my professor told us that most of all self portraits look the same- a hard stare with a serious face because the artist is focusing so hard on the reflection. It was then that I decided that whenever I painted a self portrait, it would be unusual. (Yes, I misspelled "Kitty")
Here's a painting from a photograph of my brother and I. This is one of my favorites and now hangs proudly in my bedroom in my parents' house.

Hey Duane, I've been meaning to ask you if I could hire you to do some painting in our boy's rooms? I mainly just want their names. What do you think?
Love the paintings, especially the Lighthouse!
Wow, those are good, I didn't know you had the artist touch, I thought your love is strickly PC. Cool pic's.
