My mom and dad go to Las Vegas every August to celebrate my mom's birthday. This time they took along their #2 and #10 grandchildren along with Duane and me. We went during the official Las Vegas Star Trek Convention. Here we are at the airport. Yes, there are even slot machines at the airport.
Don't my parents look like they are having a ball? Here is mom's favorite slot... the Twilight Zone. She'll sit and play for hours on $20. Dad decided to give up on slots for a morning a joined us at the Star Trek Convention. It was his sociology lesson for the week.
Here is the happy Trekkie family in the conference room where the actors would field questions from fans. Duane got to ask a question to the actors who played Odo and Quark on DS9. He was thrilled.
Here is our young warrior starring down a Klingon! He wasn't quite sure what to think.
Well, here's what Alex really thought about the vendor area at the convention. Talk about Trekker stuff! OMG! The stuff you can find at a Star Trek convention.

So am I bad mom for letting my son cry in the middle of these Klingons? Really, he was fine. They were just really loud and in character and Alex was hungry and tired. Poor thing!!

Okay- this is the funniest one yet. This guy had a great Klingon custome. The other guy... well, yes. It's a guy. With a boob job. I'm glad I didn't realize it until I passed him or I would have embarrassed myself by starring. Those boobs with an Adam's apple. Something just isn't right there!

okay so I am just now looking at the blog...is that really the actor who played the bad guy on Nemesis? and yes it is scary how much he looks like JLP.
