Story Time with Alex

Part of our day consists of rocking in Alex's rocking chair reading books we pick up from the library each week. Alex has always loved books. Since he was big enough to sit up and hold a book, he could sit forever and just flip the pages. Duane and I have tried to be diligent about reading to him each day. He seems to really enjoy this. So much so that he has learned to climb up in the chair and read all by himself. Too cute!

Duane is taking out the trash and recyclables right now. The gate is open so Alex can roam freely around the house . We just found him in his room like this. Most children would have been getting into stuff. But Alex was sitting there reading his book. What a good kid.
